MARLI New York Unveils Geneva Boutique
MARLI New York has inaugurated its first boutique in Switzerland, situated along 5-9 Rue de Rhône in Geneva, the epicenter of Swiss fashion and luxury. The opening represents the evolution of MARLI New York, enhancing the brand’s legacy while uniquely adapting into its distinctive Swiss location.
The boutique, which links to the street and riverfront through a long barrel vault, echoes the familiar design of MARLI New York flagship boutique worldwide. Vertical corrugated panels in stone, wood, and glass come together in varying scales. Building on the theme, blue metal screens with brass edges create a captivating interplay of light and shadow. The lounge area features Rocklight, a light installation signed by the Geneva based artist Pierre Koukjian, crafted from mineral crystals, brass, and LED lights. The luminous sculpture reflects a thoughtful exploration of aesthetics, with the mineral crystals creating a distinctive visual effect. The brass structure offers a modern, industrial touch, while the LED lights highlight the crystals, producing a unique interplay of light.
The ultra-contemporary interiors developed by architectural studio Aranda\Lasch are an invitation to explore without distraction. Smooth brass arches and corrugated marble wainscoting establish a spacial rhythm, while parquet flooring in a custom pattern derived from the monogram imbue the store with added depth. Encasing the jewelry, glass display cases supported by textured marble bases reflect the ceiling’s curvature. Within the lounge area, custom seating in turquoise and red agate upholstery frames the encounter between visitor and the jewelry.
